Process

Meeting

Before taking on a new project, it is important that we get to know our potential client and to explore the synergy between us.

Budget

EVERYONE has a budget. Even clients who are splurging on custom European furnishings and hand beaded fabrics have a target figure in mind. We respect that. Our experience working in commercial design projects has taught us that we can achieve success along any point of the budget spectrum.

Proposal

Our fee proposals are tailored to suit each individual client and project’s needs. However, our vehemence for transparency is a common thread in all of them. There are no hidden costs or mark-ups to create conflicts of interest. If a trade discount is available, it will be passed on to you. Our proposals are written in plain English and address issues such as the scope of work, the budget, the time-line, etc. to ensure everyone’s expectations are clear from the onset.

Site Visits

During the course of the project, we will participate in periodic site visits with the construction and design team to review progress and ensure that our design intent is being achieved. In addition, once material finishes begin to be applied, we will visit more frequently to inspect the quality of the materials and the installation. Ongoing communication with the General Contractor, Architect, and other team members, is essential to keep the project on track and ensure positive results.

Procurement

We pride ourselves in offering a streamlined procurement approach that involves the use of software such as Excel and Studio IT to provide an organized and efficient process. All worksheets and reports are updated and distributed periodically to keep our clients abreast of our progress.

Over the years, we have vetted hundreds of vendors resulting in long-standing relationships with the most reputable purveyors of finishes and furnishings around the globe. This ensures that we receive the highest level of customer service at every step of the way. Frequent communication with vendors and periodic visits to workrooms ensure that our quality standards are met and our completion time-line is followed. The procurement process is not complete until all FF&E has been delivered to the job site in perfect condition.

Installation

Our experience installing projects throughout the US and abroad has helped us assemble installation crews in diverse and sometimes remote locations. Successful installations are the product of months of detailed planning and anticipating specific logistical needs based on project location.

Lifestyle

Our job is not done until the beds are made, the candles are lit, and the music is playing. No detail is left to chance. Our designs are multi-sensory experiences that transport our clients into the lifestyle we have carefully created for them.

Punch List

Perfection does not come without a detailed punch list. After the much anticipated FF&E Installation, we don’t run away from the project. We carefully inspect the items within our scope of work to ensure that everything has turned out just right. Items that need repair, etc. will go on a Punch List and we will not say goodbye until every item is cleared off the list. That is our commitment to perfection.
